Why blue?
For many years now, the food industry has been increasingly replacing metal components with plastic ones. Blue has been chosen as the preferred color, since it rarely occurs in food and is therefore easy and quick to detect visually.
Our fully blue pockets
Since 2018, we have been incorporating blue into our pockets. This means the frame is available in blue, and the mesh can also be offered in blue. We still offer white mesh as well, but the demand for it is gradually declining.
Benefits of the color blue
Visually detectable
If the mesh becomes worn or damaged, a small piece could – in a very rare case – come loose from the rest and end up in the dough. Thanks to the blue color, a chip from the frame or a fiber from the mesh can be easily spotted and removed from the dough before any issues arise.
Improved UV light absorption
Blue plastic absorbs UV-C light radiation better.
With the addition of a UV blocker in our frame cmpound, the product's lifespan is extended.
By using blue-colored plastic for the mesh as well, the overall durability of the pockets is significantly increased.
Metal detectable pockets
Next to the standard blue resin for the pocket’s frame we also manufacture pockets with a frame made of a blue, metal detectable resin.
